The third thing you can't skip

On top of warming up the account and using a proper proxy, the third thing you need is an anti-detect browser.

The reason is simple: a proxy changes the address you come from, but not the machine you come from. Reddit reads dozens of things about your browser — screen resolution, installed fonts, time zone, graphics card — and builds a fingerprint out of them. If ten accounts come from ten different addresses but share one identical fingerprint, they're already linked.

One account, one profile

The rule I follow is a single one: one account, one profile. Every Reddit account gets its own browser profile — its own virtual machine, with its own fingerprint and its own proxy.

It isn't only about safety, it's about convenience too: with one profile per account you never have to remember who was logged in where, you can't open the wrong account on the wrong IP, and every session picks up exactly where it left off.

Which one to choose

Honestly, I don't think one browser is better than another. They all cost money, they all do the same job, and unless you're using them for automation they're interchangeable.

What nobody tells you, and what I found out the hard way, is something else: the real difference is between the free plan and the paid one. With free profiles things go worse. I don't know exactly what changes behind the scenes, but paid-plan profiles hold up better, and that's the only difference I've seen that's genuinely worth the money.

So the advice isn't "pick the right one" — it's simply don't use the free version.

The two I use

They're not the best in absolute terms, because I don't think that ranking exists. They're the ones I've had the fewest problems with and the ones I find simplest to work with.
