The maths that doesn't add up
After ten years of buying Reddit accounts and a lot of money wasted, I've learned to spot a serious seller before I order. The most useful lesson came from arithmetic, and it's free.
To build a hundred accounts you need at least a gigabyte of residential proxy traffic. You need an email for each one, and those cost money too. You need time — an account isn't created in a minute if you want it to survive. And if it has karma, someone had to earn that karma.
Add it up and tell me how anyone sells a Reddit account for under a dollar. Yet there are sites doing exactly that, pricing accounts in cents. That's not a bargain: it means something in that chain isn't there.
How to spot an inflated account
When the account arrives, look at the ratio between activity and karma. A profile with one post and a thousand karma never grew — it was inflated. Two or three comments and five hundred karma, same story.
Anyone who has genuinely tried to build karma on Reddit knows how slow it is. If the numbers don't add up, they were made with shortcuts — and Reddit recognises those shortcuts. Not immediately, but it does.
Three types of seller I stay away from
Sellers who also offer upvote services. If they sell upvotes, they use them on their own accounts too. You're buying a profile grown with the exact method Reddit is working to detect.
Marketplaces reselling other people's accounts. They resell profiles from third parties without knowing how they were created or how they were used before. That account can carry a history you can't see, and it comes back at you on the first report.
Genuine personal accounts. On paper the best option, but a real one-year-old profile costs around five hundred dollars. At that price, for most use cases, the maths stops working.
So where is the best place to buy Reddit accounts?
There isn't one seller that fits everyone. The best place depends on what you need it for: a high-karma profile for outreach isn't the same as a fresh account you plan to grow yourself. In the ranking below you'll find, for every supplier, how many accounts I ordered, how many arrived already banned, and how many survived the first week.
Before you buy
If you've decided to buy, the seller ranking is only the first piece. The account you receive has to run on a proxy that fits, has to be handled from a browser that doesn't give you away if you run more than one, and has to be warmed up in the first days. Those three things decide whether that profile lasts months or dies in its first week.

I tried it three times in my whole life. The first time nothing arrived at all. The second time I got a $3 account as a test, and when I paid $10 the seller disappeared. The third was the stupidest: he delivered working accounts with karma, and a month later he took them back — because the email was still his and I hadn't thought to change it.
About fifty euros gone in total.
My advice: if you really do buy from a private seller, the first thing to do the moment you receive the account is change the email and turn on two-factor authentication. If the seller won't give you access to the email, that account isn't yours — it's on loan until he decides otherwise.

The worst site I've bought Reddit accounts from. The rock-bottom prices were tempting, and that's exactly where the trap is.
Every time I placed an order, a good share of the accounts arrived already banned — and every time it meant one or two hours of waiting to get them replaced. I argued with them more than once, telling them accounts should be checked before they're handed over.
I tried everything to grow their accounts, including giving some of them a full month of warm-up. The result: not even 1% survived a month. And I can assure you I spent hundreds of dollars on that site.

Most of the sellers I dealt with here tried to move the conversation to Telegram and close the deal outside the platform. That's where the trouble starts: off-platform, you have no protection at all. It isn't specific to Reddit accounts — it's how a large part of this marketplace operates.
The three stars are for the support. Disputes take around three days, but they work: I got part of my money back on the orders that went wrong. That's more than most sites in this list offer.
On account quality, being a low-cost marketplace, maybe 5% of what I bought was actually usable. Here at least I didn't lose much — I spent under a hundred euros in total.
My advice: never leave the platform. If a seller pushes you to Telegram, walk away.

This is one of the few sites I still regularly buy from. A friend recommended it to me about a year ago, and since then I have become a regular customer.
What I particularly like is that the accounts come with genuine comment karma and, from what I have seen, the karma doesn't appear to be artificially boosted through obvious upvotes. I have received accounts with more than 50 comments already posted, including a mix of positive and negative comments, which makes the profiles look much more natural.
Another thing I appreciate is that they seem to operate as the actual producers rather than simply reselling accounts. They respond directly through their own accounts and are able to provide support when needed.

My advice: same as G2G — never leave the platform, and change the email on any account the moment you receive it.

I only bought two accounts here. One was banned the day after delivery. The other was taken back by the seller two days later. About $50 gone.
The problem is how the escrow works: once you confirm you've received the account, the money is released and there's nothing more you can do. And you have to confirm receipt — the account looks fine at that moment. What happens on day two isn't covered.
My advice: escrow protects you against an account that never arrives, not against one that dies or gets recovered a few days later. Change the email and enable two-factor authentication before you confirm anything.
